The manufacturers of the View Guard Frame/Lok Attachment System™ engaged the services of Intertek Testing Services to test their security film and Frame/Lok assembly.
This assembly is the primary element of the View Guard Frame/Lok Attachment System™. Testing took place on February 20th, 1998 according to ASTM E-330 "Test Method for Structural Performance of Exterior Windows, Curtain Walls and Doors by Uniform Static Air Pressure Difference".The test results were amazing! They proved that security film and Frame/Lok was capable of withstanding pressure up to 18.75 Kpa (390 psf). This translated to an equivalent wind velocity of 633 km/hr!
